America’s Library Districts will convene on November 21 for a virtual forum discussion to assess the current and future policy trends, strengthen community bonds, and formally establish a Library District resource network.

The American Association of Special Districts (AASD) will host this moderated discussion via Zoom, entitled “Collaborating to Navigate the Current and Future Library District Policy Landscape,” on Thursday, November 21, at 3 p.m. ET / Noon PT. Library district managers, board members, and administrative staff are invited to join, but must register ahead of the meeting.

Join Erica Richardson, AASD Library Division Director | Benbrook (Texas) Library District Director, and fellow library district leaders from across the country for a conversation addressing emerging political, policy, governmental and intergovernmental issues uniquely impacting the special districts providing public library services.

This moderated discussion will take stakeholders one step beyond the discussion and begin forging resources for fellow districts to leverage.

AASD’s Library Division provides a virtual space for America’s 1,600 special districts providing library services. The Division provides forums for primary focus on governance-related issues impacting library district administration and their community services. Future Library Forums will be exclusive to AASD Members, as it will be a centerpiece of AASD’s formal programming in 2025.
