Attendees will also engage in conversations on how districts can collaborate for a stronger voice in their county seats, state capitols, and in the halls of Congress.

The Northern Summit’s General Session will begin on Thursday, July 24, 2 p.m., at the Four Points by Sheraton-Fargo Medical Center.

AASD is teaming up with the National Association of Emergency & Fire Officials (NAEFO) to co-host America’s Emergency Services & Public Safety Districts Summit as a component of the first-ever Northern Special Districts Governance Summit. This special session will take place on Thursday, July 24, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. – prior to the general session – for a focused meeting covering topics specific to emergency services districts. Sessions will range from a roundtable policy discussion to procurement needs to a conversation on how state emergency district associations (Illinois Association of Fire Protection Districts and Montana Fire Trustees Association) are working to tackle the legislative and professional challenges facing their members.
