The American Association of Special Districts has announced the first two of six regional conferences for special district leaders and officials to gather for networking, advocacy, professional resources, and best practices on governance issues.
Special district stakeholders are invited to register today for AASD’s first summits in April 2025 in New Orleans and Springfield, Mo. Expert presentations at each Summit will include topics covering: setting special districts up for federal grant success, strategic planning for special districts, trending legislative advocacy issues, financial best practices, and much more.

AASD’s Regional Special Districts Governance Summits are hosted in cities across the country. These two-day events will offer thought-provoking and motivating perspectives on longtime and emerging district governance topics.
AASD strives to deliver these resources in the “backyards” of America’s special purpose government leaders, in regions where such conferences have never occurred, and in a way that is affordable for all types and sizes of special districts. In fact, AASD Member registrations for 2025’s two-day governance summits will not exceed $100 with secured hotel room block rates no higher than $165 per night in five of six planned Summit locations.
